Craving Gravy or Love in the Time of Cannibalism is a play with no intermission, five scenes and three actors. Only two are speaking roles. The other role is a dancer/mime/actor. The speaking roles are one male and one female. These two friends wander a waste-land playing a word game as they search for the right place to bury their long-dead friend whom they have been eating in order to survive. Their actions have most unusual and magical consequences.
Delroy:
Male but somewhat feminine. Never knew a father. Needy. Worried. Abandoned. Pushy. Uptightly well-Mannered. Only child. Knows better than everyone else. Would NEVER fart in public.
Gilroy:
Female but somewhat masculine. Hungry. Tough. Practical. Loyal. Accommodating. Allows Delroy to think he knows better than everyone else because she knows it doesn't matter. Would fart in public without a second thought.
